For the past five years, I have had the profound privilege of learning under Pandit Nayan Ghosh, one of India’s most celebrated maestros of the Farukhabad gharana. A rare virtuoso of both tabla and sitar, Panditji embodies the depth, discipline, and spiritual essence of Indian classical music.
Learning from him has been more than just mastering rhythm — it has been an immersion into tradition, patience, and the true meaning of ‘sadhana’. His guidance has shaped not only my playing but also my understanding of music as a living, breathing art form.
Being under his tutelage is an honor, and through his teachings, I strive to carry forward the legacy of this timeless tradition.

Quoting Guinness Book of World Record as on the date of recognizing him as The Youngest Table Performer. "The youngest tabla performer is Truptraj Atul Pandya (b. 23 Oct 2006, India), who performed live on All India Radio on 28 October 2009, at the age of 3 years 5 days. Truptraj has given over 50 public performances to date. His father recalls Truptraj's "natural attraction" to percussion instruments from the age of 15 months. His repertoire is mainly folk and devotional music, and his father Atul often provides vocal accompaniment to his son's performances."
As of today, he has delivered more than 200 Public Performances and 2 TEDx Talks.
After winning the Guinness Book World Record, Truptraj has been performing endlessly and mastering his skills. He is dearly loved in the musician community. Legends like Ustad Zakir Hussain, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasiya and Ustad Iqbal Ahmed Khan have bestowed their blessings on him and have been helping Truptraj get better with his skills day by day.
Master Truptraj Pandya also dreams of becoming a cricketer and a better tabla player when he grows up. Currently he is honing his tabla skills under the tutelage of some able guru. He also loves to play football.
